R. Drew Ogden

focuses on the business aspects of intellectual property and practices primarily in the areas of licensing, publishing, strategic partnering, distribution counseling and international expansion for growth oriented technology-based companies and creative enterprises. Drew is a founder and managing director of Ascentage Group (a business development firm) and the managing director of Ascentage Advisors (a M&A consulting firm). Drew also acts as a registered representative of Pickwick Capital Partners, LLC. Previously Drew taught Mergers & Acquisition Law as an adjunct professor at the University of New Hampshire School of Law.

Prior to Ascentage, Drew was the vice president of Legal and Business Development at Softdesk, Inc., a NASDAQ company that developed and distributed CAD software for architects and engineers worldwide. At Softdesk, he was part of the executive management team that took the company public and was responsible for negotiating strategic licensing agreements, spin-offs and multiple acquisitions. Ultimately, Autodesk (ADSK) acquired Softdesk in early 1997. Drew has also held the positions of in-house counsel and director of international sales at an accounting software company and an operating system software company, respectively. Previously, Drew was a partner at Frankel, Murphy & Ogden, an intellectual property firm.
