Susan Rayne

is a solutions-driven counselor with more than 30 years of diverse, innovative legal and business experience in advising technology companies. She serves as a trusted and valued advisor, acting as outside general counsel to technology producers and as special counsel to technology consumers seeking to acquire or license sophisticated technology solutions to achieve their missions. Beginning in 2012 Susan also served as general counsel to a healthcare IT company serving hospitals and healthcare providers in the United States, Canada, and the UK, leaving that position in 2018 when the company was acquired. As general counsel, Susan was responsible for all domestic and international legal and risk management oversight, including commercial contracts with customers and vendors, operations, product and services development and delivery, privacy and security policies and controls, compliance, governance, litigation management and investigations, and M&A. Susan was associated with the Boston IP firm Sunstein Kann Murphy & Timbers LLP in the late 1980s and was a partner with Bowditch & Dewey, LLP’s corporate practice before leaving in 2003 to form Works of the Mind, a boutique law firm serving technology clients. She joined Ascentage Law as of counsel in 2019.
